The Witches of Gilford - Chapter 3

Chapter 3 is up on TPP, and chapters 4 and 5 are in beta-land. The story takes a serious turn in the middle chapters (earning the line 'Will they overcome their personal demons' from the summary). Hopefully I've managed the drama as well as I've seemingly handled the humor.

I've written half of chapters 6 and 9. I'd really hoped to have the story written by my marathon (next Sunday! Eep!, but unless the characters get chatty again, that's not very likely. I expect the all important 'Hermione and Severus's turn to present at the book club' will take more work than most chapters. But all is well, and the story is moving along.

approximately how much time will it take you to finish the story?

Hmmm. Interesting question. I expect the story to run 12 chapters. Turn around time for my beta and Brit-picker is about a week and a half, so a conservative estimate is that I'll be posting a chapter roughly every two weeks (by the time it makes it through the queue at TPP). Assuming we keep this schedule, the last chapter should post in late January or early February.

That said, I'd really like to have the whole thing posted by mid-December before everyone gets busy with the holidays.
