1. Yet another thing I really appreciate about SS/HG writers: You post CHAPTERS as actual, individual chapters. I've been listening to Snarry occasionally while I work, when the task requires more eyes than brains. WTF! There's a ton of stories with clearly labelled chapter breaks that are posted in ONE SINGLE CHAPTER. Makes it really annoying if you have to stop and come back to it. So, um, THANK YOU, SS/HGers for posting chapters as intended, using the handy dandy 'chapter' feature that archives so cleverly provide.

2. I may be working entirely too much. We shall see. I have trouble turning down projects. Although I did turn down some piano lessons that would have involved a forty-minute round trip. I was rather proud of myself for saying no.

3. My first piano lesson is tomorrow! It should be very interesting and fun (the lack of clever adjectives belies my nerves about the whole thing). I'll be flying by the seat of my pants teaching piano to a 4-year-old who can't read words yet. Should be interesting. I keep reminding myself that the job is to make music fun, and heck... if I can invent running games that make running fun, then music should be a piece of cake.

4. Best scene divider ever, as spied in a Snarry story over the weekend:
(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)(_|_)

5. My darling, darling husband has been hard at work while I've been work, work, working away and has painted our bedroom. It is no longer yellow, my least favorite color in the world. Now I need to get my butt in gear and fix the duvet cover that the dog nibbled. Assuming that the duvet cover goes with the greyish-white paint color. One never knows exactly until the paint is on the wall.

1. Wow, rly? I never knew this. I guess I'm totally spoiled by only reading on TPP and the like... Although I probably should read some outside, I guess. *needs Time-Turner*

2. If the working is fun or at least satisfying at the end of the day/project, nuffin wrong with it.

3. *grins* You'll do fine! A young one won't talk back a lot!

4. *shakes head*

5. Yellow? YELLOW??? Good heavens, how did you manage to survive up to now???

1. Nearly all my reading these days is 'listening' via FoxVox. *squishes FoxVox*.

2. Quite true, but I'm slowly whittling away my hobbies again, which worries me.

3. I'll be much, much calmer once I get the first lesson out of the way. Just first-time jitters, I think.

4. :) Aren't they just precious little cheeks?!?

5. I am VERY good at denial. :)

I love Snarry. If you haven't read it yet, I recommend Snape: The Home Fries Nazi. One of my many favs.

That was my introduction to the ship and still one of the best ever.

But if you really, really love a story that has been put up as a single long chapter, you can copy it to your hard disc in one fell swoop. Whereas if it is divided into a zillion chapters (and isn't on one of the sites that kluge chapters together for printing) you have to go through copying them one at a time. All 163 chapters of For Someone Special for instance... Either way, you do end up with 'where the hell was I?' syndrome if you have to stop reading the Word version, I admit.

Admittedly, most of my complaint stems from FoxVox not having a pause feature.

I suppose either way of posting has drawbacks. :)

I love yellow, LOL - pale and lemony or bright and sunny, it's all good.

But not in a bedroom. Blue's the color for bedrooms, either dark or light. Although I used to have a purple (seriously deep grape purple) bedroom, and that was very, very restful.
