Fellow Tarty shippers
Mar. 12th, 2010 05:48 pmFor all you Tarty Shippers (ETA: also known as slutty shippers, not Tom/Barty shippers tyvm): Later this year, I'd like to organise an exchange that's somewhat pairing-blind. That is to say, it's not obvious who the 'winning' pairing will be at the start of the story. Participants would specify what pairings they are open to receiving and what pairings they are open to writing. An initial survey of potential participants would set some boundaries so that the field isn't wide open.
I've got some ideas on how to handle the mechanics. Big shocker: it involves spreadsheet magic.
Just let me know if it's something you're interested in, and in what capacity. (reader, writer, admin)
Example: You read SS/HG and HG/DM. Your gift features one or both relationships. One wins at some point past chapter two. Maybe it's part of the plot drama as to who Hermione ends up with. Or maybe not. Maybe it's just an opportunity to pick up a story and not have the romantic aspect pre-destined from the first page (or category labels).
