Murphy's law
Dec. 16th, 2008 07:15 pmI was all set to work furiously on TWoG this week when the company I freelance for came knocking. It's a bit of feast or famine. No work until mid-January (if they're to be believed). And yet, suddenly, I have 26 hours of work (perhaps with a bit more if I can alter the space-time continuum) due by Thursday AM. I'm about 10 hours into it... gonna be a looooong night and day tomorrow.
It feels good to have a deadline though, and I certainly won't complain about the moolah.
I'm ducking over to chapter 9 of TWoG when sudden inspiration strikes. 'Tis a bit frustrating... I have about 1/8 of a scene left. :(
Damn priorities.
EDIT: Huzzah. I was struck by a bit of before bed inspiration (though I ought to have gone to sleep two hours ago when I stopped working, tsk.) I've got about four sentences to tweak/finish and then chapter 9 is done.
