Random LJ Scavenger Hunt: Day Seven

For those of you who missed the whole Random Thing, er, thing. No worries. Substitute something else random. Or catch up when you have access to Random Thing again if Random Thing was left at work.

Day Seven is hidden under the cut for a reason...

Today is Random Thing with something from the fridge/kitchen/wherever that might be considered a science experiment (either in a positive, yay my kids are budding biologists way or... well, the other way.)

That would be the jar of accumulated grease that doesn't get washed down the kitchen sink. Yum.  Blech. You can see how Elvis is trying to scoot away from it. I don't blame him at all.

Don't forget to log your photo here.

It is great fun to watch the Random Things in LJ. Funny and entertaining, as a passive participant, I'm very much enjoying it from the outside.

To pitch in, I'd have to upgrade my LJ account - still Basic here. Long time ago I promised myself that when I could again afford it, I'd consider it. Several months in black numbers, I still haven't psych'ed out if the upgrade is for me. Blah. No brain capacity for decisions. But I hope you are enjoying it from the inside.

Thank you for keeping me smiling.

You're quite welcome! It's been a blast to host it, and I'm glad to hear people are entertained by it. More joy for everyone.

Wot?? You mean grease doesn't get washed down the kitchen sink??

We had an epic battle with clogged kitchen sink that eventually called for Sulfuric Acid. It was ugly. And stinky. And to be avoided at all costs... *shudders at the memory*

Even without the addition of The King, your jar o' grease is a thing of... hmm, reminds me of a layered sand sculpture. We keep our excess cooking fat in an aluminum can in the freezer.

Ooooh, that's a much better place for it. Particularly the opaque container.

"You ain't nothin' but a grease jar..." ;0)

Ewwwwwwwwww. If the grease jar starts crying, I'm moving out.
