Hello World
After perusing countless other LJs from HP fan fiction authors, I've finally succumbed to peer pressure ( well imagined peer pressure anyway) and launched my own account.
I'm on the cusp of publishing my own story, so I suppose the timing is fairly appropriate.
I'm sure I'll unload additional information about myself down the road. Perhaps I'll scout out a few good memes to get the ball rolling. Until then, I suppose you should know that I live in Cincinnati, OH with my husband, two dogs, and three cats.
A few months ago I lost a job that I was extremely dedicated to, so much so that I'd let swallow my personality. I'm extremely pleased to say that I've finally managed to work myself out of a well-deserved depression and am nearly to the point where "I lost my job" no longer defines who I am.
I've got another month or so to enjoy the extended vacation I've been letting myself take. I have been freelancing for about 10-15 hours a week which has funded the extended vacation. But soon enough it will be time to figure what I might want to do next.

You probably do your 4 miles on the elliptical faster than I do. I get passed by speed walkers. :)
Slow and steady wins the race.
